Trauma-informed care
Trauma and PTSD Counselling in Langley
Trauma can live in the body as hypervigilance, numbness, flashbacks, shame, or a sense that the past is still happening. Trauma-informed counselling prioritizes emotional and physical safety so healing can unfold without overwhelm.

A safety-first approach
We begin by establishing grounding, choice, and collaborative pacing. You remain the expert of your experience; my role is to help you regulate, make meaning, and gently process what feels ready — never to rush disclosure or re-expose you to harm.
This work may include somatic awareness, mindfulness, attachment-focused exploration, and narrative work that separates your identity from what happened to you.
Who this support is for
People seek trauma counselling after single-incident events, relational or developmental trauma, immigration-related adversity, or complex PTSD patterns. You do not need a formal PTSD diagnosis to benefit from trauma-informed care.
If you are looking for a Registered Clinical Counsellor in Langley or online across BC who works carefully with trauma, a free 15-minute clarity call is a low-pressure way to see whether we are a good fit.
